Our Process
When we begin working together we start by defining your needs. Not everyone comes to us at the same point in their business life-cycle so we want to make sure there is a clear understanding of our role. The kinds of things we will discuss include what your desires are and the results you want to see. This is where we also explore the things you think are going well, and those that aren’t.
Another important discovery here hinges on the very foundation of your business. This step can take a large amount of time. It’s important to have a clear vision of just what it is you are selling, and just how you should be positioned in the marketplace. From there, we begin creating your public image so that it exactly matches who you need to be in order to reach your goals. To do that we:
- Put your goals in writing;
- Create your mission statement; and
- Create or update your image – logo, web presence, marketing materials, etc.
In the meantime we move on to the next step – creating the marketing plan. Integral to that plan are some very specific statements about where your business should be within one year. As we work through this phase sometimes adjustments are necessary so the goals are kept realistic – realistic to the marketplace and to your budget. In the end we want to have goals that are achievable, relevant, and valuable.
In the next phase we implement the plan. The Media Source Inc. directs these efforts, and through weekly meetings we keep you informed and involved. In this phase we invariably need to make adjustments on-the-fly since the marketplace is always changing. New opportunities may open up and ones that were vibrant may be fading. That’s why it’s important for us to have time together at least once a week.
Finally, at intervals we agree to, we will have review meetings where we assess the effectiveness of the marketing efforts and continue to make sure we are achieving our defined milestones.
